Book Review: Extreme Innovation

While at Social Media Marketing World 2017, I had the opportunity to watch Sandy Carter as part of a panel discussion talking about artificial intelligence and its impact on social media marketing. From what I could get from the conversation, she was very forward-thinking and was very keen on innovation. So I picked up her book, Extreme Innovation: 3 Superpowers for Purpose and Profit*. Carter points out that companies need to be highly innovative and adapt to change or they will not exist in the next decade. At my work, we are talking about innovation, but I wonder if we are innovative enough. Let’s see what Carter says are the essential elements to being extremely innovative. Always looking for tips and strategies for improving my writing speed and quality, I downloaded Write Better, Faster: How To Triple Your Writing Speed and Write More Every Day (Growth Hacking For Storytellers 1)* to my Kindle. Write Better, Faster was written by Monica Leonelle. This is not the first book written by Leonelle that I reported on. She also wrote Dictate Your Book: How to Write Your Book Faster, Better, and Smarter. Book Review – Death: An Exploration: Learning To Embrace Life’s Most Feared Mystery

I had the fortunate opportunity to read Death: An Exploration: Learning To Embrace Life’s Most Feared Mystery by Loren Mayshark. I am not sure I would have read this book if it was my choice. However, Loren gifted this book to me, and after reading it, I am glad I did. As I read the book, I was struck by the fact that this was a personal exploration for Mayshark. It originated with the death of two family members before he became an adult. I have my own ideas about death and it was fascinating to see viewpoint of another. Read the rest of this entry
